The Mexican goalkeeping sensation during the past World Cup has not been able to play with his new team, and would be an option for Liverpool's coach Brendan Rodgers.

After his brilliant display during this summer's World Cup, Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa seemed to have everything working out just fine for him. Ochoa ended up signing with Spanish side Malaga, where he was supposed to be considered as the number one choice for the job. Nevertheless, coach Javi Gracia preferred Cameroonian Carlos Kameni, who has started every game for Malaga, edging Ochoa to look for a transfer in January.

Sources indicate that, despite recent words by the club's president, Ochoa wishes to play regularly, and would be open to change his home once more to do so. English club Liverpool apparently remain interested in signing "Memo", giving the former Ajaccio stopper an opportunity to play elsewhere.

Earlier this month, Liverpool were rumored to have reached an agreement with Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who has not been playing due to a knee injury. Nevertheless, Valdes denied the deal and accepted Louis Van Gaal's invitation to train with Manchester United. Liverpool's coach Brendan Rodgers wants another goalkeeper that can pressure Belgian Simon Mignolet, and Ochoa would fit right in the Reds' budget.

After the tournament held in Brazil, Ochoa has only played two games with his National Team without conceding any goals.
