The evergreen Giallorossi captain was left fuming after his side's defeat to Juventus.

Earlier today, Serie A's two top sides Juventus and Roma faced off in what has been the most eagerly anticipated fixture for calcio fans thus far.

Both the Bianconeri and the Giallorossi were undefeated prior to the game and were the only two sides who had yet to drop any points so far this season with a 100% win record from five games. And, as for hosts Juventus, they had yet to concede a single goal in league play, with Atletico Madrid's Arda Turan becoming the first player to score past Gianluigi Buffon so far this season.

Well, like any blockbuster clash, one team was going to see their win streak snapped at the end of 90+ minutes, and this time it was the Lupi joining countless teams to come to Turin and be unable to escape with all three points. They're not alone, as the only side to have won at Juventus stadium thus far is Bayern Munich back in 2013.

The game, though was full of controversy from start to finish, with three penalties, countless yellow cards and two ejections to make it an entertaining one to watch for fans. However, iconic captain Francesco Totti was less than impressed with the officiating that saw Rudi Garcia sent to the stands, and Roma fans won't be so amused, either.

Totti didn't mince his words when speaking to Sky Sport Italia:

"It's a huge shame after such a great performance...we came here to play our game, but you saw what happened that changed the outcome of things," the 38-year-old stated to reporters.

"Naturally, we wanted to beat Juventus, but there were several episodes that affected this game and of course we're really angry.

"[Personally] I think that Juventus should have their own league. After all, they always win...whether it's fairly or not."

The first penalty given to Juventus was after some deliberation that finally decided that Andrea Pirlo's free-kick was hand-balled by Maicon. But was it the right choice?

The second penalty awarded to la Vecchia Signora was even more controversial, as Paul Pogba was judged to have been felled in the box, but this photo seems to question that:

Totti, who netted a penalty to pull his side even, was enraged at the injustice that he felt was done to his side
