Guadalajara lost yesterday against Toluca, having coach Carlos Bustos resign from his head coaching job. Ramon Morales was named interim coach for Sunday's Clasico against Atlas.

Following yesterday's loss against Toluca, Chivas' owner Jorge Vergara took some actions aiming to boost the club's chances to avoid relegation. One of the few Vicepresidents that has endured working with him, Nestor de la Torre, returns to make decisions for El Rebaño, in the middle of the team's worst crisis.

According to Vergara, the arrival of De la Torre will grant him all decision-taking privileges:

"Nestor's return will give him full power here. We want him to return the club where it belongs," Vergara said.

De la Torre's previous stint as Chivas' Vicepresident lasted from 2002 to 2009. During that time, Chivas earned their best results as a franchise, participating in four editions of Copa Libertadores, two Copa Sudamericana bids, and also providing Guadalajara with their last championship back in 2006. De la Torre claimed severe differences with Vergara, and went along to take a position in Mexico's Football Federation.

"We have to get real. Relegation is a possibility, and we have to work to get Chivas out of this hole we've fallen into. I take this challenge conscious of what I can do and what people expect from me. We will start working with our new coach on Monday. Meanwhile, Ramon Morales will coach on Sunday against Atlas," De la Torre told the press.

A new coach will be unveiled for Chivas since Carlos Bustos resigned yesterday after losing 3-1 to Toluca. The Argentinian is rumored to be substituted by former Mexico's coach Jose Manuel "Chepo" de la Torre, who was also responsible of leading Chivas to their last championship, back in 2006.
