The Brazilian Football Confederation wants to start fresh with their fans, hoping the reigning World Champion accept the meeting.

After their below average performance in the World Cup they hosted, Brazil's "Canarinha" wants to renew their fans' faith. And what better way to redeem themselves than having a friendly match against the squad that thrashed them at their home country. At least that's what CBF's president Jose Maria Marín thinks:

"We want to play a friendly match against Germany, so that we can forget about what happened back then. It's a way to exorcize our demons, turning the page over and start fresh. We could go to their country if they like, we are truly interested in meeting with them again," Marin told reporters.

Brazil lost 7-1 against Germany in the semifinal match for World Cup 2014, adding up to the pressure fans and media exercised on former coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who resigned from the job as soon as the tournament ended. Marin went on about the Brazilian team's performance during the World Cup, apologizing for their "embarrassing" fourth place:

"There's no doubt about our performance, we were truly disappointing. We will have another opportunity at home when we host the Olympic Games, and our goal should be to try to make things better for our fans, after what they endured last summer," Marin stated.

The match, if possible, would have to be held next year, given that both national teams have already booked other friendly matches this year.
