The Chilean midfielder had been rumored to have hurt his knee before the international break, but sources confirm the player came down with an injury to his right thigh.

It seems that the friendly match between Mexico and Chile last Saturday was jinxed. One day after Mexico's medical services informed three players were injured during that game, Juventus' medical crew reported Arturo Vidal would have tests to determine a possible injury:

"Midfielder Arturo Vidal returned from international duty reporting muscular discomfort at the back of his right thigh. He sat out training today and tomorrow will undergo tests to assess his availability for the Bianconeri’s upcoming fixtures," could be read in the club's website.

After tests were performed on the Chilean's leg, it was determined he came down with a "minor distension". The club may have to sit Vidal out against Udinese on Saturday, and possibly in the team's debut in this UEFA Champions League against Swedish side Malmö.
