The former Barcelona player arrived into Mexico invited by Carlos Slim, one of the wealthiest men in the world.

With the transfer window shutting today, the "bomb" of the summer may come from one of Liga MX's most unexpected teams. According to sources, Club Queretaro have offered a contract to former Barcelona and Brazil international Ronaldinho.

The player, considered the best in the world years ago, will take part on a series of motivational speeches arranged by Fundacion Telmex, owned by Carlos Slim, one of the wealthiest men in the world. Slim is also part owner of Mexican back-to-back champion León and Pachuca.

The player arrived into Mexico yesterday, spending time with former Pumas sports VP Arturo Elias Ayub, while informing his fans of his whereabouts through his Twitter feed:

"Visiting Soumaya Museum surrounded by Arturo Elias..."

On the matter, Club Queretaro's VP Adolfo Rios confirmed negotiations between the  midfielder and the club, but there will be no official statement until the deal is sealed.

Club Queretaro is not considered to be a top club in Liga MX. Los Gallos have been involved in serious issues off the pitch, being relegated several times during their 64-year history. Recently, the club faced disaffiliation due to their owner's illicit transactions.

Ronaldinho ended his contract with Atletico Mineiro just a few weeks ago, becoming a free agent.
