According to reports, the Spanish striker could be finally saying adieu to Stamford Bridge this summer

Since arriving in a mega money £50 million deal from Liverpool in the winter of 2011, Fernando Torres, to put it frankly, has failed to live up to his price tag.

The Spanish international has constantly been the subject of memes and jokes due to his inability to find the net and fluffing his lines at the worst possible moments, yet, transfer windows have come and gone and he still continues to ply his trade with the Premier League giants.

However, his time in England, if reports are to be believed, could be soon coming to an end. According to numerous publications, namely The Times, last season's Serie A runners-up Roma could offer him a chance to ply his trade elsewhere.

Exit route? Torres could swap the Blues for the Giallorossi:

Despite his dismal scoring record with Chelsea, the Italian side are still apprently keen on the 30-year-old and are hoping to use striker Mattia Destro to make the deal happen.

With the Italian international being valued at £20 million, a possible option would be for Chelsea to sign him and then allow Torres to depart on a loan deal for the upcoming season, something that is favored these days by many Serie A sides.
