University of Guadalajara returned to the top category after twenty years, and has earned only one point after four matches.

With controversy surrounding U de G for the past few weeks, coach Alfonso Sosa told the press his feelings regarding referees, claiming their calls are part of the team’s bad form.

“We feel a little disappointed, we have a lot of things we can improve, but there are certain situations we can’t control and have been frequently against us. I’m not asking for them to help us, I’m just asking for justice,” coach Sosa told the press.

Pressure is piling on coach Sosa, since the team’s development in the tournament hasn’t been as expected. Sosa knows that his numbers can’t support his job, but he feels his President still trusts his work will help the “Black Lions”.

“It’s very important to have a President that supports your job, and I’ve had one since the day I got here. It’s pretty clear we depend on what results we end up delivering, but we will try to handle the pressure and make good decisions as long as we are here,” the coach concluded.
