Luis Suarez made his debut in Barcelona’s shirt after his ban from all football-related activity was recently lifted by FIFA.

It couldn’t have been a better night for FC Barcelona. The ‘blau-granas’ get their first title of the season and keep the Joan Gamper’s trophy at home after thrashing Mexican club Leon 6-0. Morevoer, Neymar scored twice and he looks fully recovered from the back injury that he picked against Colombia playing for the Brazilian national team during this year’s World Cup.

Barcelona looks ready to start the season ahead as they outplayed a club that didn’t offer much resistance. The ‘goal festival’ was opened by Argentinian star Lionel Messi in the 3rd minute of play followed by a couple from Neymar, another two from Munir and then Sandro sealed the account with one goal.

Mexican defender and former Barcelona player, Rafael Márquez, received a standing ovation from the fans when he left the pitch after 51 minutes of play. Márquez lifted the Champions League trophy twice with Barcelona; in 2006 and 2009.

Luis Suarez made his debut in the Camp Nou as he came on as a substitute in the 76th minute of play. The Uruguayan was recently allowed to train and play non-official matches after his ban was revised by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Still, he will have to wait until the end of October to make his official debut.
