Last week, Neymar returned from his extended World Cup holidays – or more precisely, from about six weeks of rehab. Upon his return to training, the Barca number 11 player had to complete specific exercises alone.
The 22-year-old’s comeback would appear as a great consolation for the Catalans whose latest signing, defender Thomas Vermaelen, is out indefinitely after suffering a hamstring injury. Neymar is likely to miss his team's club friendly against Leon this week. He could however make an appearance in next week's Joan Gamper Trophy match and also begin the 2014/15 Spanish Primera Division season right from Matchday 1, later this month.
