Los Blancos captain Iker Casillas is heavily rumored to be on his way out of Real Madrid, but according to the latest reports, it is his Spanish counterpart that is headed for a Bernabeu exit

Real Madrid's goalkeeping situation takes another twist.

Los Blancos and Spanish shot-stopper Diego Lopez looks set to leave the Liga BBVA giants, only a year after joining the 10-time Champions League winners from Sevilla.

This revelation comes as Real Madrid moves one step closer to completing the deal to sign star goalkeeper Keylor Navas, with Spanish outlet MARCA claiming the Costa Rican will land in Madrid on Monday to finalize his Levante departure.

Initial reports suggested La Furia Roja skipper Iker Casillas was the man headed for the door, but according to Goal, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti prefers Casillas between the sticks for the upcoming season, paving the way for Lopez's Santiago Bernabeu exit.

A likely destination for Lopez is Stamford Bridge, where he will reunite with former Les Merengues boss, Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

Despite making 36 appearances in La Liga (per Whoscored), Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez might not receive adequate playing time this season due to Navas' immenent Los Blancos arrival

This has led to rumors of the Spaniard's exit, with a move to Chelsea to reunite with Mourinho, the coach that brought him back to the Bernabeu, being tipped as the likely outcome

This move, however, depends on the Blues' ability to ship out long-serving goalkeeper Petr Cech to Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.

The return of Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois to Chelsea, on the back of his impressive season with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, has cast the Czech's future with the London side in doubt,

Mourinho sparked rumors of Petr Cech's exit even further after hinting to the Evening Standard that he prefers Courtois to the 32-year-old as first-choice goalkeeper, saying:

"Petr is ready to fight for his position but Thibaut is the best young goalkeeper in the world, no doubts about that.”
