The Brazilian star, who suffered a fractured back during this summer's World Cup, has announced that he hopes to return next month.

Blaugrana star Neymar, who suffered a horrific injury during Brazil's World Cup campaign this summer, has now announced that he has been recovering much faster than initially planned and will hope to make a return next month.

"I'm slowly recovering from the injury, [and] I want to have a good season," the 22-year-old former Santos star stated while attending a promotional event in his native country.

"I'm looking forward to helping my team-mates get good results, [and] also want to [be able to] contribute to the Brazil [national] team."

The young attacker also added that he is hopeful of being able to make his team's pre-season camp on August 5th and added, "I'm confident of playing in the Gamper game on August 18th."

Barcelona open their La Liga campaign on August 24th with a clash against Elche.
