The Bavarians ace, Bastian Schweinsteiger has publicly apologized for his offensive behavior in chanting a song about Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The German World Cup winner was caught on video chanting lyrics that included "BVB, sons of bit****s!" in a somewhat rowdy bar celebration a few days into the World Cup final win against Argentina. The video was leaked on Tuesday night to a noted controversy as Schweinsteiger had lifted the 2014 World Cup title with four Dortmund players.

"I want to apologise to all the fans, coaches and players of Borussia Dortmund," read Schweinsteiger's post on his Facebook profile.

He continued to say, "This is a well-known fan song but with a curse word. I didn't want to offend anyone. I get on very well with all the Dortmund players."

The Dortmund players who he shares the German jersey with include the likes of Kevin Grosskreutz, Mats Hummels, Erik Durm, and Roman Weidenfeller.
