Petr Cech will likely leave at the end of the Summer, but the 32-year-old keeper needs to lower his salary.

It is no secret that Mourinho chose Thibaut Courtois to be Chelsea’s next goalkeeper. Therefore, despite having 2 years left on his contract with Chelsea, Petr Cech is looking to move from the London club.

Cech has played for the Blues for almost ten years

One of Cech’s representatives, Viktor Kolar, talked about his client’s future. The agent understands that the Czech goalkeeper is 32 years old and has a very high salary, but believes he can find a new club. In fact, no offers have been received yet, and it will be up to Kolar to contact teams. The agent stated:

I would get in touch with Zubizaretta at Barcelona [if Petr is not wanted at Chelsea] and people at Real Madrid. These are clubs we would consider if Chelsea wanted to get rid of Petr. We would also consider Bayern but they have Neuer there."

Petr Cech has been the goalie for the Czech Republic for the last 12 years

Despite the unrealistic expectations of Kolar, Cech is believed to leave Chelsea if the right offer is made. However, as the agent explained, Chelsea’s number 1 would like to remain in London. Kolar said:

“Petr isn't 20 anymore. His family are satisfied living in London. His wife is leading zumba classes there and his children attend schools. Moreover, Petr is satisfied at Chelsea and there is interest in his services even after his active football career. They would want him to continue in some position at the club.”

At 32 years of age, Cech still earns 5.2 million pounds yearly
