After having been spotted in Istanbul, Moyes is now believed to become Galatasaray's next coach.

After having been sacked by Manchester United, David Moyes seems to have found his new destination: Galatasaray. The Scottish manager was apparently offered £4M to replace Roberto Mancini, who agreed to leave the club earlier this month.

According to Eurosport, former Red Devils’ manager was spotted in Istanbul, where he met the President of the Turkish club, Unal Aysal. However, the meeting was not meant to finalize a deal, as Galatasaray are waiting for the end of the World Cup, to make any final decision. A spokesperson revealed:

“The president has given a speech about it. He said that we just spoke with David Moyes and he said that he can come to Galatasaray but he is not one of the main targets for us.”

After a great season with Everton, Moyes could not repeat the success at Old Trafford

The club further announced:

“They just spoke to each other, exchanging ideas - that it is it. It is true the president talked with David Moyes. We are not in a rush, we are waiting for the end of the World Cup. The first two targets are Low or Klinsmann.”

After barely 10 months with the Red Devils, Moyes was sacked by the club

After Man United’s tragic season, which cost Moyes his job, the Scottish coach knows that his next destination must be the right one, so as not to start a negative trend. Moyes himself declared:

I got my real first taste of the Champions League this year and I thought I showed I can manage at that level. I would like somewhere that would give me a chance of being in the Champions League or a club that has ambitions of being in the Champions League. It could be at home or abroad.”

Despite being in charge of the former champions, Moyes could only manage 7th place in the Premier League
