The Argentine legend was not impressed with the Real Madrid and Spain captain's showing during La Furia Roja's 5-1 humiliation by the Oranje.

Spain suffered arguably one of the biggest shockers during their first group stage match a few days ago.

Facing off against the Netherlands, the side that they defeated by a slim 1-0 margin to lift their first ever World Cup crown, La Furia Roja had seized the lead through Xabi Alonso's converted penalty, only to see Robin Van Persie restore parity shortly before the half-time break.

Given the quality of both sides, a draw after the first 45 was not surprising, but what followed during the next was something that will certainly give the reigning champions and their fans nightmares over the next week.

And Argentinian legend Diego Maradona was one of the most vocal critics of Spain's dismal performance, with the team's captain Iker Casillas in particular being singled out.

"[Iker Casillas] had the worst game I've ever seen in my life...and it reminds me of what my friend Mourinho told everyone about him," he sniped to Telesur.

"He said Casillas wasn't the right keeper [at Real Madrid] and he paid for that. He had to leave, but in the end it turns out that Mourinho was right."
