Although Brazil eventually went on to defeat Croatia 3-1, it did not prevent some from trolling the Real Madrid defender after his first half own goal.

As everyone is well aware, Brazil were able to defeat Croatia in their first World Cup 2014 match.

However, it was not all smooth sailing for the hosts, especially after Marcelo turned the ball into his own net to give Niko Kovac's men a temporary lead.

Of course, a brace from Neymar and a strike from Oscar were enough to give them all three points, but that did not prevent the trollers from coming out in full force to mock the Real Madrid defender.

Unfortunately, a random guy was the victim of some of the abuse hurled at the Brazil player. The reason? Some silly football fans couldn't differentiate between his Twitter and that of Marcelo's.
