Lionel Messi was taken by surprise when a man who freakishly resembles Ronaldinho bowed down to the Argentine star

Lionel Messi was in for the shock of his life as his nation, Argentina, were training for their 2014 World Cup opening game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The Barcelona ace was in a training session alongside his fellow La Albiceleste team-mates, at Belo Horizonte's Estadio Independencia, on Wednesday, where Ronaldinho's side Atletico Mineiro play, in front of a crowd of thousands of supporters.

Their practice, though, was cut short when numerous amount of fans jumped the wall, entering the pitch as a result. Many of them made for the four-time Ballon d'Or winner but the Blaugrana ace was surprised by the appearance of one man in particular, a man who he thought was former team-mate Ronaldinho.

"When he saw me he was shocked because he thought I was the real Ronaldinho and he told me that I didn't need to run on the pitch to see him,” said Robinson Oliveira, a professional Ronaldinho look-alike, while speaking to Goal.

"He said: 'What are you doing running on here to see me?' When he held my hand, I went down on my knees [and bowed]. It was so emotional."

He added: "I didn't plan this. I just thought to myself that I have to hold his hand because this is the only opportunity I will have to see him."

The incident happened when dozens of fans invaded the pitch in which Argentina was training at

The man cut his hand while entering the stadium pitch, leaving him in blood, but said: "It was worth it."

And when asked which of the two players is his favorite, the former Selecao superstar's look-alike responded with a much expected answer.

"Ronaldinho, of course!"
