The Eastern Conference leading New York Red Bulls will travel West on Sunday night to face the Portland Timbers.The Red Bulls beat the New England Revolution 2-1 last time out and are looking to extend a five game unbeaten streak at JELD-WEN Field. The Timbers will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat after losing 1-0 last weekend to the Colorado Rapids.
Mamadou Danso and Bright Dike are sidelined with injury for the Timbers, while Steve Purdy is away playing for El Salvador at the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Midfielder Peter Lowry is an injury doubt and will be assessed ahead of kickoff, while forward Eddie Johnson should play despite an Achilles problem.
