Kerkyra vs Olympiakos Volos Match Preview
Two of this season’s promoted sides meet up in Corfu when Kerkyra play host to Olympiakos Volos. Kerkyra secured their status in the Super League for another season with a vital away win against Asteras Tripolis last weekend and could yet have an outside chance at the playoffs with a late run, though that appears unlikely at this point.
The main news coming out of the Olympiakos Volos camp is the departure of manager Sakis Tsiolis. Extremely liked by supporters and enjoying a superb season, Tsiolis surprisingly quit the team after last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Iraklis. Rumors suggest the coach was upset with the handling of team affairs by Volos President Achilleas Beos. Makis Katsavakis takes over for Volos who are well-placed to fight for 5th place in the league and also are in the semifinals of the Greek Cup.
