Wizards cling to playoff hopes against the Fire

Chicago Fire Star Freddie Ljungberg is still settling in after his move from Seattle
Kansas City have a very slim chance of extending their season.
The Wizards defeated the Fire 2-0 at Toyota Park. The visitors must now win their remaining games this season, and hope Colorado does not do the same.
Kansas City fought hard Chicago to score in the 46th minute from Davy Arnaud, and Teal Bunbury in the 80th minute. Keeper Andrew Dykstra defended his net valiantly and kept out a couple ofl goals that could have gone against the home side.
Chicago were already out of the running for the playoffs, but played for pride and were frustrated at every turn. Star midfielder Freddie Ljungberg tried several times to find goal but could not deny Jimmy Nielsen his clean sheet.
The Wizards passed and finished better than their opponents to seize the victory. They kept their belief and were rewarded with a little more time to make their dreams a reality.
