Wales vs England Match Preview
England will travel to face British rivals Wales in an important Euro 2012 Qualifier at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

England players prepare for their Euro Qualifying showdown against Wales.
England are currently three points behind group leaders Montenegro with a game in hand, and will go top of Euro 2012 Qualifying Group G with a victory in Cardiff. Wales currently sit at the foot of the table and will be looking for their first point.
Striker Robert Earnshaw has withdrawn from the Wales squad due to injury, while star winger Gareth Bale is ruled out with a hamstring problem. Bale is the only player to have scored for Wales in their three qualifying games so far.
Aaron Ramset will play his first game for Wales in over a year after returning from a horrific leg break. Ramsey will likely go head to head in central midfield against his Arsenal club-mate Jack Wilshere.
Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Theo Walcott are all ruled out injured for England. Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis has been called into his first England squad after a series of impressive Premier League performances.
The injury absence of Ferdinand has led to John Terry being reinstated as captain, something that has caused borderline hysteria in the English press. England striker Peter Crouch told BBC Sport this week that the players are unmoved by the tabloid talk.
“There’s a lot of talk of unrest but it’s not an issue. John Terry has always been fantastic on the pitch, leading Chelsea to Doubles, and he’ll be good for us again,” said Crouch.
Wales vs England Match Report
England moved back top of Euro 2012 Qualifying Group C courtesy of a 2-0 win over Wales in Cardiff.

Darren Bent celebrates putting England 2-0 up in Wales.
Goals in the first 14 minutes from Frank Lampard and Darren Bent were enough to see England to a solid win. England move ahead of second placed Montenegro in the group courtesy of goal difference.
A passionate Wales crowd booed the English anthem but were silenced only seven minutes in when James Collins bundled over England winger Ashley Young and a penalty was awarded. Midfielder Lampard stepped up to calmly convert the penalty and give the Three Lions a 1-0 lead.
England continued their positive start and had the reeling Welsh two goals down eight minutes later. Glen Johnson released Young down the right flank, and the Aston Villa winger’s teasing cross was turned home by Bent to give Fabio Capello’s men a commanding lead.
Wales began to settle into the game and enjoy some possession, but a solid midfield performance from Jack Wilshere and Scott Parker helped England go into half-time with a 2-0 lead.
The second half became a physical affair and a confrontation between Ashley Cole and Craig Bellamy resulted in Wayne Rooney adopting the ironic role of peacemaker.
Rooney could have followed his own advice later as he received a yellow card for a reckless foul on Joe Ledley. The booking means Rooney will miss England’s next Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland in June.
As the game went on, Young found himself in space more often as Wales pushed bodies forward, and was unlucky not to cap his superb performance with a goal when his rising drive just cleared the bar.
