According to the Athletic, Los Blancos have reached a verbal agreement with one of Bayern Munich's most highly-rated defenders. That man is Alphonso Davies, the talented Canadian international who is nearing the end of his Allianz Arena contract.
The 23-year-old is regarded by many as one of the best fullbacks in the world while others believe he could transition into a world-class winger. Regardless, Bayern Munich, who have begun contract negotiations with the former Vancouver Whitecaps ace, appear set to lose this talent.
The player's contract runs out in 2025, which means he is entering the final year of his deal this summer. As a result, Los Blancos are targeting a deal for either this summer or the summer of 2025 when he is a free agent.
