Once again, Sevilla has claimed the UEFA Europa League title to themselves, and with their sixth win in the competition there have been a few stats that deserve to be paid attention to.
Julen Lopetegui's side won the title with a 3-2 score thanks to a brace by Luuk de Jong and an unfortunate own goal by Romelu Lukaku, who had given Inter an early lead. Diego Godín had leveled the game before the goal caused by Diego Carlos' impressive bicycle kick.
With that in mind, the first stat to keep in mind has to do with Romelu Lukaku. Yes, he scored on both sides of the pitch, but he will not go down in history as the only person to do so in the competition.
Romelu Lukaku is the first player to score an own goal in a UEFA Cup/Europa League final since 2001, when Alaves' Delfi Geli put past his own goalkeeper in their 5-4 final defeat to Liverpool pic.twitter.com/EOkdIDaH8P

The second statistic has to do with Inter's poor defending. In what can be considered as a once in a lifetime happening, the nerazzurri were not able to hold on to their lead or to keep a clean sheet on both halves of the game, and that in itself ended up becoming a record for the wrong reason for Conte's men.
3 - This is the first time ever Inter have conceded at least 3 goals in a European Competition for club final. Hit.#SevillaInter #UELfinal

Last, but not least, this will also go down in history as one more miss for Antonio Conte when playing European tournament finals, both as a player and as a coach.
Antonio Conte has now lost all of his last four major European Finals as both a player and a coach:
