MATCH PREVIEW
Newly-crowned EPL champions Manchester City will aim to further their dominating campaign when they welcome Swansea to the Etihad. Although they have already secured the title, there are a few mini-achievements on the side which Pep Guardiola and his brigade will equally want to wrap up.
With 15 points left to be battled for, Manchester City could become the first team in the top division of English football to win 100 points in a single season should they get 13 of such points. The Citizens also needs nine more points to dethrone Chelsea as the club to have won the most points in a single Premier League season. The Blues reached the milestone with their 95 points in the 2004/2005 season.
For Swansea, the mission is simple; to not be relegated. They have enjoyed a bit of a renaissance since Carlos Carvahal took charge of the club and an epic win at the Etihad will put the 16th-placed side a bit farther away from the bottom three.
On the paper, the task seems magnanimous for the Swans who were defeated 4-0 when Manchester City visited the Liberty Stadium in the first round. However, the fact that their host has failed to win any of its last three home games lights a torch in the gloomy tunnel.
