Even if his family is still searching for any sign of the striker, Arsenal and Cardiff City did not want to play their game without paying some sort of tribute to Emiliano Sala.
The Argentine striker would have surely made his Premier League debut today if the plane in which he was traveling to Wales had not disappeared under suspicious circumstances. With that in mind, Arsenal and Cardiff's captains emerged to the pitch carrying daffodils and tulips to celebrate the player's life.
Added to that, members of the media were handed a daffodil along with their programme for tonight's game. Arsenal decided to include Sala's name in Cardiff's squad, right next to a daffodil where his number would have been listed.
