The Portuguese ace had his first press conference as a bianconeri player, creating controversy with a couple of statements.

Cristiano Ronaldo was finally unveiled as a Juventus player, and his answers were as surprising as you could have expected.

Aside from the usual footballer quotes about the impact he wants to have with a new team, the Portuguese ace admitted that his decision to leave Real Madrid wasn't something he thought for a short period of time, which confirms that his relationship with Los Blancos' boss Florentino Pérez was not on its best terms when he chose to leave the Spanish capital.

"Juventus is one of the best clubs in the world, it was a long-thought out move, but it was an easy decision to join the best club in Italy and a very important step for my career," Cristiano stated.

The Portuguese footballer took the opportunity to thank his new employers, since he will be able to keep playing for a top-caliber team.

"It's a big challenge in my career, a lot of players my age choose to go elsewhere with all due respect. It makes me happy to play at such a big club, I'm very grateful to Juventus for this opportunity," the player added.

The former Real Madrid player also praised the team's consistency, which has made them win seven Serie A titles in a row. Now, according to him, it will be his duty to extend that streak even further.

"Juventus have given me a great opportunity, it's a step forward in my career. It's no coincidence that they have won the last seven Scudetti. I feel honored that Juve thought of me, and I want to take them to an even higher level," Cristiano Ronaldo concluded.
