The battle for the 2023-24 Ligue 1 title carries on this weekend, but this week will be a bit different due to PSG's absence from the competition.
Brest will be the only team among the top three trying to increase their tally at the top, although their clash this week will not be easy at all. Elsewhere, the battle to avoid relegation will be in full gear with four of the five teams currently in the lower half of the table getting ready to play their matches during the weekend.

Ligue 1's board decided to give these teams time off to focus on their European competition matches, which took place this week and will be held next week (Lille and Marseille as hosts, PSG away at Barcelona).

Metz vs Lens - The away side will want to take advantage of Nice's "rest" by claiming a win here to leapfrog their rivals and claim the fifth spot in the league, which provides access to European tournaments.
