Fluminense vs LDU Quito -  Team news

Fluminense get to this game with only two wins in their last six games, including the loss against Liga de Quito in the first leg of this competition. The team led by Fernando Diniz has struggled to get results both in the Campeonato Carioca, and their poor form recently was key to see them lose in their heated rivalry against Flamengo last weekend. In order to improve, the team will need as much help as possible from Germán Cano, the top scorer in last year's Copa Libertadores, and from Douglas Costa, who made it back to the Brazilian side after spending a couple of seasons with Los Angeles Galaxy.

As for their opponents, Liga de Quito are yet to make their debut in Ecuador's top-flight, but they are also unbeaten in three games this year. The Last week's win fueled by Alex Arce's late goal has put Josep Alcácer's side on the driver's seat for this tie, although they need to show they can defend their net away from home as well as they did at Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium. Players such as Alex Arce, Ezequiel Piovi, and goalie Alexander Domínguez will be key for their options to win the title.

Unfortunately, there will be some key absences that will be sidelined for this match. Here is the list of unavailable footballers for this match.

Fluminense: Calegari.

LDU Quito: No reported injuries.
