The Century Link Field in Seattle, Washington, was the venue of an epic homecoming for Seattle Sounders. Brian Schmezter's men won the 2016 MLS Cup and were playing their first competitive home game since the epic victory over rivals Toronto FC on Dec 10 last year.
And the home coming celebration was quite something. The world-famous stadium was field with decorations, inside and outside, of the champions' recent main achievements. From banners displaying congratulatory messages to scarfs declaring fans' loyalty to the mighty Sounders, it was an epic display of green and blue - the club's primary colors.
Here's how it went down moments before the kick-off against New York Red Bulls
Fans making their way into the stadium...'CHAMPIONS,' one giant banner declared. And the banners hanged with pride
