Wayne Rooney is back for Man United! Well at least, the Red Devil icon will take his place on the bench during the Manchester United vs Wigan Athletic match in the English Premier League.
On Friday, Coach Alex Ferguson talked to the media as he gave info about the kind of squad that he’ll put against the Latics this weekend. About Wayne Rooney, Fergie revealed:

“I don’t think he will start tomorrow [Saturday]. Maybe, he will reach the bench. But, he’ll certainly play on Wednesday against Rangers.”

In fact, it has been reported that Roo is yet to return to full training. However, the striker is believed to have worked enough to make the bench. The 25-year-old, who had his Manchester United contract renewed and improved, had to spend a few time in the United States for rehabilitation.

see if he will enjoy a bit of playing time against Wigan Athletic as he is set to feature in the Champions League next week. In the meantime, Latics Coach Roberto Martinez is wary over Wayne Rooney’s return.

“You don’t want Rooney to come back against you. If he plays, then the task will be harder.

“He’s one of the best players in world football. At the moment, it’s going to be as if he is a new player, a fresh player.”

Manchester United traditionally have a good record against Wigan Athletic. As Chelsea and Arsenal occupy the first two places in the Englsih Premier League standings, Manchester United are looking for maximum points come Saturday.
