Petr Cech is officially the meanest goalkeeper in the just-concluded EPL season.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has won the Premier League Golden Glove award after keeping 16 clean in 34 appearances sheets this season. The ex-Chelsea shot stopper was in sterling form for the Gunners in their last game of the league this season as they pumped four goal past Aston Villa.

Man United goalkeeper came second with 15 clean sheets. However, with Man United’s game against Bournemouth postponed due to security concerns at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Cech could be forced to share the award with David Ge Dea, if the latter keeps a clean sheet in the upcoming fixture that will be played at a yet to be confirmed date. The Spaniard cannot surpass Cech’s record, but can only share it if he keeps a clean sheet against The Cherries.

Following the impressive achievement on his first season for the North Londoners, Arsenal Football Club took to Twitter to congratulate the 33-year-old.

Meanwhile, Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel and Man City’s Joe Hart have 15 clean sheets each to their name.
