One MLS club and three Liga MX teams fight for the right to play the title match starting this week. Follow the games with this guide.

Only four teams are left in the 2024 edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup, and this week's games will give us a glimpse of who could become the two teams that are honored to play the title match in June.

Keeping up with what has happened over a decade, Liga MX and MLS teams will be involved in this round. Three clubs from Mexico's top-tier and one MLS side will be playing the semis after their victories in the Quarter finals. Liga MX could have had four clubs in this stage, but current MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew managed to beat Tigres in a thrilling penalty shootout.

With this in mind, there will be one fixture featuring two Liga MX sides, while the other one is set to take either one more Mexican club to the final or the only surviving MLS side to the title clash. Next week's games will determine the winner of each tie, although this week's matches could prove crucial due to away goals.

Without further ado, let us give you a heads up on how things will unfold this week.

América vs Pachuca: These Mexican teams go way back, both from their playoff meetings in Liga MX and in their rare run-ins in international competitions. Pachuca have absolutely dominated América in their Liga MX meetings when they take place in playoff ties, winning five out of six. Meanwhile, América won one of those in 2012 and another KO stage clash in 2007, the only international meeting between these clubs. Back then, América took home a 4-1 lead in the first leg, and while Pachuca won the return leg 2-0, it was enough for Las Águilas to go through. This time, América get to the semis as the top candidate to win the title, but if there is a team that knows how to play against the most-winning team in Liga MX, it is precisely Los Tuzos.

Columbus Crew vs Monterrey: The Crew have already made history in this competition as they had never made it to the semi-finals of the Champions Cup, before, but to keep making history they will need to beat the most-winning team under the current format. Monterrey have won five Champions Cup (or Champions League) editions in this region, and they should be named as favorites to win this tie. Nonetheless, Columbus have proven before they can defeat Liga MX teams, and they will surely try to do so this time. Monterrey are unbeaten against Columbus in two previous games (one win, one draw), and if Wednesday's game ends with a similar outcome, Rayados will certainly strengthen their position as title contenders.
