The Bianconeri have backed their manager for the forseeable future as the club's struggles continue.

Juventus have ruled out the possibility of sacking manager Massimiliano Allegri despite the club's recent struggles. The revelation comes after the Bianconeri fell to a surprise 2-0 defeat against Maccabi Haifa in Tuesday night's UEFA Champions group stage encounter.

A first half double by Omer Atzili was enough to secure the win for the hosts with Juve failing to get anything out of the game in the second half despite delivering a better performance. The night's result left them with just three points from four games in Group H, with the Turin outfit only sitting above their Israeli opponents because of their superior goal difference.

Tuesday's defeat, coupled with the fact that Juve are struggling domestically, has led Max Allegri to come under huge scrutiny in Turin. However, the Italian coach, who was recruited for a second spell at Allianz Stadium last season, has now received the backing of the club's hierarchy. Amid the pressure club president Andrea Agnelli has confirmed that Allegri will not be sacked. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the game, he said: "It's not the coach's fault that we can't even make a tackle. Allegri will stay at least until the end of the season.

"I feel ashamed for what is happening, I am angry, but I also know that football is played with 11 men, you lose and win with 11.

"In a situation like this, it's not about one person. It's a matter to be dealt with by a whole group. We feel ashamed, we apologise to our fans, because we know they must feel ashamed to walk around at the moment."

With both Benfica and PSG occupying the top two spots in Group H while tied on eight points each, the odds of Juve qualifying to the knockout stage are quite low. Regardless of results elsewhere, they will now have to win both of their remaining games against the top two clubs to have any chance of progressing.
