Barcelona's upcoming games may not be as easy as their fans may have expected, since reports coming from Spain suggest Lionel Messi could be out for the next two months.
After just nine minutes of playing time, the Blaugrana ace left the game against Las Palmas, after apparently damaging his left knee. The player was taken to a nearby hospital for further explorations, and initial reports indicated he would be out for the next three weeks.
Nevertheless, sources at Catalunya Radio suggest that the Argentinean superstar may have to stay away from the pitch for the next 6-8 weeks, which would hand a serious blow for the team's expectations. After the game ended, Barcelona made it official: Messi will be out for up to eight weeks with a knee problem.

Even though it's still early to determine how much time Messi will need to fully recover, reports suggest the Argentinean would not be ready to play El Clásico against Real Madrid.
