Once this weekend comes to an end in Liga MX, there will only be two games left for each team in the regular season. With that in mind, all playoff and play-in spots should be handed out in the next couple of weeks, which should give fans and experts some exciting games to watch.
As things stand, the top team in the league should be either one of these three: Toluca, América, and Monterrey. These three teams have been really consistent during the regular season, and with the first two of that list facing each other this weekend, we could have a better idea on who will end as the No. 1 team in the league.
As for the remaining three spots in the playoffs, Cruz Azul, Pachuca and Necaxa make it to this round in pole position, but dropping points could see Tigres, Querétaro, or Guadalajara going up in the standings, as there are only four points between the fourth place (Cruz Azul) and the ninth (Guadalajara).
Unfortunately, there are at least five teams that have already seen their playoff hopes ending: Juárez, Mazatlán, Atlas, Tijuana, and Puebla may want to start preparing for next season, because this one turned out to be a disappointment for all these sides.

Top games to watch
Pachuca vs Guadalajara - Los Tuzos are one of the hottest teams in the country, and following their win in the Concacaf Champions Cup, they are seeking to secure a spot in the Clausura 2024 playoffs. To do so, Almada's team must try and beat Guadalajara, who claimed a 3-2 win over Puebla last week thanks to Chicharito's first goal since he re-joined his boyhood club. Pachuca will try to put to good use their home-field advantage and coach Guillermo Almada's experience, since he has only lost once in ten meetings against Guadalajara.

América vs Toluca - The clash that will hand out the top spot in the competition is set to take place at Estadio Azteca. América get to this clash following their 5-2 win over New England in the Champions Cup, while Toluca are enjoying life with a new coach (Renato Paiva) and the re-birth of some of their players (Alexis Vega, among others). Toluca is one of the teams that has made it more complicated for América in the past few years, which might explain why Los Diablos are unbeaten against Las Águilas in their last four games (one win, three draws). América are also unbeaten when playing at home against Toluca in the most recent four games (two wins, two draws), and a victory here would also give los Azulcremas an ego boost for the final stretch of the tournament, considering this will be their last home game of the regular season.
