The Polish striker found a way to destroy Werder Bremen's tough defense, scoring two goals in just three minutes.

With his goal scoring pace, it was just a matter of time for Robert Lewandowski to reach this record, but no one expected him to reach it so soon in this Bundesliga season.

This weekend, Lewandowski was Bayern Munich's shining light against Werder Bremen, providing a couple of goals in less than three minutes to keep the team's perfect run this season. These goals were Lewa's 79th & 80th goals in the Bundesliga with the Bavarians, but they also had a historical repercusion.

Every goal Lewandowski scores from now on will see him lead all active strikers in the German top flight, as his brace today placed him as the active player with the most goals scored alongside Mario Gomez.

Both players now need twelve goals to enter the All-time Top 10 scorers in the Bundesliga. As of now, Hannes Löhr owns that spot with 166 goals.
