Die Roten had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg after throwing away a 2-0 lead, whilst Les Parisiens' perfect start to the Ligue 1 campaingn ended after a scoreless stalemate with Montpellier.
However, their Champions League campaign has started off quite smoothly and both predictably cruised to comfortable wins on matchday one. PSG crushed Celtic 5-0, whilst Bayern earned a 3-0 result against Anderlecht. Both giants are expected to top this group, and these two fixtures will definitely prove decisive in who ends up finishing as group winners and who has to settle for a runners-up spot.
PSG are only missing Javier Pastore for this clash, as Angel Di Maria has been deemed fit to feature. Neymar, who missed out on the tie with Montpellier due to an apparent foot injury will again return to the starting XI, but all eyes will be on how the ongoing spat with star striker Edinson Cavani will affect the team's dynamic. Meanwhile, Bayern are dealing with a major headache with Manuel Neuer back on the treatment table after suffering another injury. The German star's absence is a major blow for die Roten, as Sven Ulreich was far from convincing against Wolfsburg and with the team looking less than solid against Anderlecht, Carlo Ancelotti's side could be in for a rough evening in Paris.
