On Saturday, Manchester City welcomed Stoke City to the Etihad, as Manuel Pellegrini’s boys cruised to an easy 4-0 win over the Potters in the weekend clash.
Having lost third spot to Arsenal in the recent round of midweek fixtures, the Citizens reclaimed their spot from the Gunners, though Arsene Wenger’s crew can move ahead with a win against Sunderland on Sunday.
Fernando, Sergio Aguero, and Kelechi Iheanacho made the score sheet, with the Nigerian attacker scoring a brace, but it was the strike from the Argentine forward which grabbed the headlines.
The former Atletico Madrid man netted from a spot kick right before the break to give his side a 2-0 lead in the 43rd minute.
His first half strike, albeit it was a penalty, took his tally in 2016 alone to 16 goals in the English Premier League, more than any other player in the league.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old scored for a 5th consecutive English top-flight game for the 4th time in his career, taking his current goalscoring tally this season to 23.
He now trails top-scorer Harry Kane (24) by a single goal.
Aguero keeps proving that the PFA were wrong to omit him from the six-man shortlist for this season's Player of the Year award.
