After leaving the legendary Vicente Calderón Stadium to suit their needs, Atlético Madrid is ready to host their first match at the brand new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
The club collaborated closely with the Community of Madrid authorities to have a subway station right across the stadium, in order to give fans an alternative to support their team at the new venue.
Today, coach Diego Simeone and several players were joined by the president of the Community of Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes, to offer a first look at the new venue. Needless to say, the stadium is quite impressive.
