Firmino had his debut with the national team in November 2014 vs Turkey. Sunday's goal was his second one with the senior team.

Roberto Firmino only needed 12 minutes on the pithc to score the game winning goal against Chile this Sunday. With the 1-0 win, Dunga's Brazil now has an eight-game winning streak since the World Cup.

This one did not come easy. Neymar, who had a magical night in Paris against France, had a rough day against Chile in London. The Barcelona striker was constantly receiving tackles, but the referee did not sent off any of his offenders.

The game did not deliver up to the hype that it was surrounded by. A lack of creativity from both sides was not what fans at Emirates Stadium were expecting. Dunga did not care about that.

Firmino came into the game for Luiz Adriano in the 60th minute. Danilo sent a deep pass to Firmino who controlled the ball and rounded the goalkeeper to score. This was only his second goal for the national senior team in his career. Dunga debuted him last November versus Turkey.

“It's true, Chile controlled the game, but we had more chances at goal. So it wasn’t just luck- we deserved to win,“ 51-year-old Dunga said.

This gives La Canarinha some bragging right before the Copa America, which is set to start this June. Dunga has been able to beat Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and now Chile, some of the strongest teams from CONMEBOL since September.

Dunga’s Brazil seems to be stronger than his previous version. After their disastrous exit from the World Cup led by Luis Felipe Scolari, which they hosted last year, things are getting better for Brazil. Vindication might be just one tournament away. Neymar may have found a new partner in Firmino as well.
