The Union are currently one point behind the Eastern leaders Sporting Kansas City, while Seattle currently sit second placed in the Western Conference.

The Union are struggling at the goalkeeper spot with Faryd Mondragon and Thorne Holder already ruled out, while rookie Zach Macmath is questionable with an ankle sprain.

The New England Revolution will play host to the San Jose Earthquakes at Gillette Stadium in Saturday’s other MLS game.

Chris Albright, Sacir Hot and Carl Robinson are injury absentees for the Red Bulls. Carlos Mendes is an injury doubt, while goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul is away on international duty.

Sean Franklin and Leonardo are sidelined with injury for the Galaxy, while Robbie Keane is away on international duty. Will Johnson and Alvaro Saborio are away on international duty for RSL, while Jean Alexandre, Kyle Beckerman and Arturo Alvarez are away playing for Haiti, USA and El Salvador respectively.
