A new Ligue 1 winner could be confirmed by the close of this gameweek, with PSG just a point away from reclaiming their throne.

Another weekend action in the French Ligue 1 is upon us and this one hold promise to be special. With only one point separating them from securing their place as Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain will play Lens on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes hoping to complete the job with four games to spare.

Despite their struggles in Europe, the Parisians have held their own on the domestic front and are on the verge of securing their 10th league title. However, the party could be postponed as the opponent they face are looking to secure a spot in Europe next season, and could well stage an upset.

Elsewhere, Strasbourg - who have had an incredible season thus far - will look to add to their bid for a top-four finish when they take on current league title Lille. The Blue-and-Whites have punched above their weight, and sit in fourth position with 56 points. The opponent they face, on the contrary, have had an underwhelming campaign so far, and are struggling to get the result needed to secure European football for next season.

Another top-four contender AS Monaco will look to keep their five-game unbeaten run in the league going when they travel to relegation-battling Saint-Etienne. The Monégasques are tied on points with Strasbourg but are in the fifth position. On the other hand, Saint-Etienne sits in 18th and just a point away from safety. On Sunday Rennes and Marseille will aim to safeguard their places among the top-four when they take on Lorient and Stade de Reims respectively.
