Lionel Messi may be having second thoughts on his international future, especially after such an appalling loss against Venezuela.
La Vinotinto had only won one game against Argentina in over 20 matches, but today, the clash between these South American nations showed a different tale of what we could have expected. Venezuela dominated the counter-attacking game against Argentina, frustrating Messi's efforts to return to La Albiceleste with a win.
In fact, this is the first time in history in which Venezuela has been able to score three times against Argentina in any game, which speaks volumes about La Albiceleste's poor defending.
Speaking about Messi, the Argentine ace played the entire game, but he failed to make a difference in the outcome of the game. Needless to say, the footballer was blamed by most fans for his poor display, while others urged him to think about his international future to save the embarrassment of playing for a team where he doesn't show the moves and skills that have dazzled the world.

I feel so sorry for Messi tbh but he shouldn't have come out retirement cuz he's never going to win anything with these braindead teammates

I'm sorry but I have to say this it may be unpopular but Argentina without Messi is better than Argentina with Messi. While Messi was away Argentina have won the past few games he comes back and now they're losing 2-0 against Venezuela. He shouldn't have come back from retirement

That AFA video yesterday... "10 Argentines in one"
— Ben Hayward (@bghayward) March 22, 2019
What they need is 10 Argentines to get the best out of the one that they were referring to. If not, it will be more of the same.
This isn't Croatia or France, it's Venezuela... #ArgentinaVenezuela
