A double by Ciro Immobile was enough to secure the win for I Biancoceleste with Douglas Costa getting the consolation for Juventus. For the return leg in Rome, Paulo Dybala – who missed a penalty in the final minutes of the first game – retaliated by scoring the only goal in the match.

With Juventus massively fortifying their ranks in the transfer window, Lazio will undoubtedly be required to go an extra mile if they indeed have their sights sets on a win.
