While most experts believe Kylian Mbappé will end up leaving PSG this summer, there are some who think that the French footballer will be once again seduced by the club's massive economic muscle.
The footballer has been linked to Real Madrid or to extending his stay in the French capital, and a recent insight shared by journalist Daniel Riolo dropped a huge hint on how far PSG will go to keep their all-time top scorer around.
Riolo's sources confirmed him that PSG are ready to offer Mbappé a whopping $100M in wages for the entire duration of his contract. Add-ons and other perks could see the footballer earning even more if he decides to stay.
Speaking in a show produced by RMC Sport, Riolo shared examples of what Mbappé's contract would mean.
"It would be one-of-a-kind, it's simply amazing. In this story with Mbappé we have to understand things clearly: on one hand, we have an offer that would metaphorically give one player all of Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, and Egypt's pyramids in the deal. Something that has never been seen before. The offer would be way over $100M per season," Riolo stated.
"On the other hand we have something that is...normal. Well, normal when we speak of Real Madrid. It is a regular wage for football stars. Let's say 30 million and maybe a bit more. And he will not be the king of the club. Basically, they would bring him (Mbappé) back to Earth. Mbappé has to choose between those offers, and all the data is there. If it was a question of money, then..." Riolo added.
The journalist also hinted that Mbappé could choose to stay put since he would lead a new team to European supremacy, rather than joining a team that has won everything before his arrival and will certainly keep doing it when he leaves.
"One could also add that PSG have the intention of keeping Mbappé around because he can help this team to flourish, and maybe trying to lead this version of PSG to the top instead of doing it with Real Madrid, who have already won tons of trophies. Considering the numbers, on paper there is a breach that will never be seen. What PSG are giving to Mbappé is simply amazing," Riolo added.
Mbappé is expected to make a decision about his future before the end of the season, once PSG's future in the UEFA Champions League is known. If the French side makes it to the final stages, the chances of watching him stay will increase. But if the team from Paris is eliminated in the earlier rounds of the KO stage, his departure could be almost a certainty.
