Barely 45 minutes after confirming the arrival of Benfica’s superstar Renato Sanches, Bayern Munich are not yet done. The Bavarians have raided the Signal Iduna Park for Mats Hummels’ signature. The Borussia Dortmund center back has agreed a deal that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2021.

After weeks of speculation, Borussia Dortmund fans can now deal with the fact that they will have to start a new season without one of their key players. Hummels now joins a host of other BVB superstars who joined their rivals Bayern over the past few years. They include the likes of Mario Gotze and their former star Robert Lewandowski.
The Germany international has scored three goals for Thomas Tuchel’s men this season, and provided a similar number of assists in 44 appearances in all competitions.
