With Eden Hazard being linked with a mega-money move to Real Madrid, news that he has praised Zinedine Zidane will do little to calm fear from Chelsea fans. The Belgian ace gave an interview to France Football, which was made public on Monday.
The Blues ace was asked to name players who he reveres, with the 26-year-old naming the Blancos boss first. The French legend wasn’t his only choice, as he also named Ronaldinho, Riquelme, and Messi.
He said: “For me, artists are Zidane and Ronaldinho, Riquelme also – his way of moving, with his passes – and then Messi. What he does with a ball is so incredible! I do not think I have that rank. Again, it’s up to people to say it. I do not claim to be an artist.”
Hazard has returned to his best this season, and is thus back on Real Madrid's radar
This is not the first time Hazard has spoken highly of the 1998 World Cup winner. The Belgian ace is a known fan of Zizou, with the Frenchman also being a supporter of the former Lille ace.
Zidane is keen on luring the Belgian ace to Santiago Bernabeu. These rumors have been fueled by their liking for one another, but none can deny Hazard would bolster Real Madrid’s squad.
There have been suggestions that the 11-time Champions League winners will make a world-record bid for the winger. He is currently contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2020.
