You might be crossing your fingers in anxiety as the 8 Last 16 fixtures are about to be revealed. The Champions League's top teams (Internazionale, Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Arsenal) all want to avoid facing a tough draw. However, there's a big chance that football fans will be offered at least a couple of titanic matches which will rock the Champions League stage come February and March.

UEFA Champions League Draw Notice

The UEFA Champions League Knockout Round Draw is set to take place in Nyon. The 16 teams will be divided into two sections - in other words, in two pots. One pot will contain each group winner. That is, Tottenham Hotspur, Schalke 04, Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk. The other pot will contain each group runner-up. That is, Internazionale, Olympique Lyon, Valencia, København, AS Roma, Olympique Marseille, AC Milan and Arsenal.

According to UEFA's Champions League draw rules, group winners possess the privilege of playing the first leg of their respective tie away from home. Evidently, the second leg will then be played in their backyard. This means that, should Real Madrid be paired with Inter Milan for example, they will play at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium before hosting the Nerazzurri at the Santiago Bernabeu in the return leg. The dates for the UEFA Champions League's round of 16 matches have been set as follows:

Champions League Last 16 First Leg Fixtures:

February 15/16, 2011
February 22/23, 2011

Champions League Last 16 Second Leg Fixtures:

March 08/09, 2011
March 15/16, 2011

11:00am GMT: It has just starting to get underway in the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland! The Champions League draw is set to be presided by UEFA's General Secretary Gianni Infantino.

11:14am - 11:28am GMT: The first team to be taken out of Pot B is... AS ROMA! The Giallorossi will face... Shakhtar Donetsk! That's a decent draw for both sides.

The next team to be drawn is... AC Milan! The 7-time winners will meet.. the debutant heroes. It's Tottenham Hotspur! Amazing clash.

Next up, we have... Valencia! The Spaniard who finished runners-up in the 2000 and 2001 edition of the UEFA Champions League will be paired against... Schalke 04! That should be an interesting reunion for Raul who will face Los Che for yet another time; this time, not in a Real Madrid jersey.

Now it is... Inter Milan's turn! And their opponents will be... Bayern Munich! Terrific. There we go with a repeat of the 2010 Champions League final. But to have this in the Last 16 is terrifying. Which team will bow out before the other?

Then... it's, Olympique Lyon! Real Madrid would want to avoid them this time out considering the negative head-to-head history which they have against this French side. But... no, the Spanish giants haven't avoide Olympique Lyon! What a draw!

Right now, it's the turn of... Arsenal. And that's interesting because Arsene Wenger has got his prediction right! There's no other option for the Gunners than to face Barcelona!!

Marseille are next, and with what's left in Pot A, it has been understood that the French side will have to face Manchester United in the Round of 16.

Finally, the wait is over for Carlo Ancelotti's Blues. Chelsea will meet København as these are the two teams left in the bowls.
