However, Jorge Jesus's side - who have not won the league title in well over a decade - could take over top spot with a win against their bitter city rivals. Sporting CP's current coach, of course, is quite familiar with Benfica as it was there he won a slew of silverware, including several league titles as well as being a finalist in two Europa League contests.
Moreover, the visitors have tasted recent success here - they notably beat Benfica 3-0 at their home ground in Jorge Jesus's first year in charge. Will they repeat this again on Sunday afternoon?
